Fall rides in on a welcomed wave of cooler air bringing with it our returning snowbirds and increased community activities. First, an update on some Glen Hills improvements. Tree trimming has started around the pool and more trimming is scheduled in various areas. Dave, our pool guy, is happier that the pool is staying much cleaner now that tree debris is not cluttering it up. Also, our two pool umbrellas are now sporting brand new canopies.
Our annual meeting notice packet has been mailed out to all Glen Hills residence owners here, and internationally. Please…be sure to return the proxy vote form in the S.A.S.E. enclosed. If you feel compelled to serve on the Board – a one year commitment – be sure to fill out the self-nomination form and return it with your proxy vote. We will be holding elections as part of our December 5th Annual Meeting but more on that in my November blog.

You won’t want to miss a “Hallowing good time” at our Potluck Halloween Party at 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 28th. Just bring a dish to share in addition to your own boo brew. We hope to welcome both new neighbors and those we haven’t seen for awhile to gather together for an evening of food, fun and games. Be sure to bring a photo of your pet(s) for our Halloween Pet Photo Parade Contest where every fur-face will be a winner. Just in case you’ve missed it, we have put out a call for set-up and party assistance to make this a special time for all.
Wrapping up, on Sunday, October 29th, 3:00 to 5:00 pm in the club parking lot, the Glen Lakes Annual Trunk or Treat event will be held. It’s a fun afternoon for the entire community and one not to miss if you have grandchildren or youngsters visiting.
